Belgian Chocolates
Uniqueness of Belgian chocolates
Belgian chocolates are very popular not only in Belgium but throughout the world. There are also people who come to Belgium just to taste these chocolates. Having visited Belgium and not tasted the chocolate is like having not explored Belgium completely. The following are some of the facts about Belgian chocolates that make it so unique in the world:
1. Belgian chocolates are made with the purest and finest ingredients in the world. These chocolates are known for its sweetest tastes.
2. These Belgian chocolates are so great in quality that they have actually created a benchmark of sorts for other chocolate confectioners in the world.
3. Switzerland, which is known for its chocolates, too has been believed to borrow their chocolate recipes from these Belgian chocolate makers.
4. The major thing that makes Belgian chocolates unique in this world is not only its taste or quality but also its old style method of manufacturing. After having seen so many technological advancements and improvements, these Belgian chocolates manufacturers still use the original equipments that were earlier used and that too in small qualities. Some people look at this as completely time consuming because mass production could help these Belgian chocolates makers prepare their chocolates in a much lesser time and that too in huge quantities. But the arguments of these Belgian chocolates manufacturers are that the taste and quality of these Belgian chocolates will remain only if they are made in small quantities and with the help of the same old original equipments.
5. Belgian chocolates are not a recent phenomenon but they have been in existence for more than two centuries now. Belgian chocolates were first introduced in the eighteenth century but the popularity of these chocolates increased in the early 1900s. Before the Belgian chocolates, the American candies were very popular among the world. But the emergence of Belgian chocolates just stormed the market and not only created a niche for them but also captured the market of American candies. Now the first thing that comes to any person's mind when thinking about chocolates is Belgian chocolate. This was though not the case a century before.
6. There were lots of companies and countries which tried to replicate and repeat what these Belgian chocolates did but no one was successful and could not repeat the magic. This is one reason why these Belgian chocolates are still ruling the roost as far as the chocolate industry is concerned.
7. The major reason why these Belgian chocolates are better than other chocolates is because the other chocolate manufacturing companies belonging to different countries make use of raw chocolate in a solid form which they have to heat it and make it into liquid. But Belgian chocolate makers make use of chocolates which are already in the liquid form. According to the Belgian chocolates manufacturers, the liquid chocolate not only saves time in the making of the chocolates but also makes a huge difference in the taste which not many other country chocolate manufacturing companies are aware of.
I mail-ordered some french chocolates online(and they were shipped from France, too), they
were very very expensive, but somehow I couldn't quite see that it's better than the belgian chocolates I had from a local chocolatier where I used to live here in the states. Just want to hear how others feel about it.
